"Home Front," set to "Le Tombeau de Couperin," tells no story, but proposes a myriad of possibilities. Perhaps it presents the uprooted soldiers to whom Ravel, upon his return from the Front, dedicated the five movements of his musical score.
Jennifer Dunning of The New York Times praised Rioult as a "natural storyteller who is increasingly, and distinctively, merging buried narratives with pure dance."
