Les Noces
for Jean Huet

Choreography: Pascal Rioult
Music: Igor Stravinsky, Les Noces
Lighting: David Finley
Costumes: Pilar Limosner

First Performed on June 14, 2005 —The Joyce Theater, New York

"Les Noces - The Wedding" — a deconstruction — a picture of primal human instinct rather than ceremony or sacrament. The unabashed energy of this sexual rite of passage.

Costumes and Lighting for Les Noces were underwritten by Judy S. Gordon. Additional support provided by the Kenneth French Fund for New Works. Les Noces was developed while in residence at the Kaatsbaan International Dance Center and funded in part with a New York State Residency grant from the New York State Council on the Arts.
